In today’s data-driven world, businesses depend on accurate sales forecasting to make smarter decisions. As part of my portfolio, I built a Sales Forecasting Dashboard using FastAPI + AI, designed to demonstrate technical expertise in both backend development and machine learning integration. This project is not just a coding exercise it’s a recruiter-friendly showcase of the exact skills US employers are hiring for.
Why FastAPI?
FastAPI is one of the fastest-growing frameworks in the US tech market. It’s modern, fast, and designed for production-ready APIs. Recruiters love candidates who can:

The AI Model
For forecasting, I trained a time-series model (Prophet / ARIMA) to analyze sales data. It automatically predicts future trends, allowing businesses to prepare for demand spikes, seasonal changes, or downturns.
Interactive Dashboard
Using Plotly for visualization and integrating it with a Streamlit frontend, I created an interactive interface where users can:
- Upload sales data (CSV)
- Generate forecasts in real-time
- View dynamic graphs and insights
